Heavy site equipment takes a beating over time. Daily use, harsh environments and constant loading all leave their mark, especially on dumpers that spend their lives working in demanding conditions.

This latest project involved a full refurbishment of a 9 tonne JCB dumper, bringing the machine back to a high standard both mechanically and cosmetically.

From blasting and paintwork through to servicing and inspection, the machine has gone through a complete overhaul and is now ready to return to work.

Full Blast and Paint Refurbishment

The refurbishment process began with a complete strip down and preparation stage.

The machine was professionally blasted to remove:

  • Existing paint coatings

  • Corrosion and surface contamination

  • Wear from years of site use

This stage is essential in achieving a durable finish and ensuring the new coating properly bonds to the surface.

Following preparation, the dumper was professionally repainted, restoring the machine with a clean, high-quality finish that not only looks the part but also provides long-term protection.

More Than Just Appearance

A proper refurbishment is about far more than paint alone.

Alongside the cosmetic work, Re-Fit also carried out:

  • A full machine service

  • Mechanical checks

  • A complete PUWER inspection

That means the customer receives a machine that is not only visually refreshed, but also properly checked, serviced and ready for safe operation.

One Stop Shop for Refurbishment and Servicing

One of the biggest advantages for customers is being able to handle everything in one place.

Rather than sending machines to multiple suppliers, Re-Fit can manage:

  • Refurbishment work

  • Blast and paint

  • Mechanical servicing

  • Safety inspections

  • Ongoing support

This helps reduce downtime, improve efficiency and simplify fleet maintenance.

Extending the Life of Site Equipment

Refurbishing existing machinery can often provide excellent value compared to replacement.

With the right work carried out professionally, machines can continue operating reliably while maintaining a strong appearance and safer working condition.

For plant operators and fleet owners, that means:

  • Improved return on investment

  • Reduced downtime

  • Better presentation on site

  • Longer machine lifespan

Refurbishment Work That Adds Real Value

This 9 tonne JCB dumper is another example of how professional refurbishment can completely transform working equipment.

From blast and paint through to servicing and PUWER inspection, the machine has been prepared properly and finished to a high standard throughout.

If your machinery is starting to show signs of wear, Re-Fit can help restore it back to working condition with a practical, cost-effective refurbishment programme.
